National Museum of Saudi Arabia

It houses an extensive collection of artifacts, manuscripts, interactive exhibits, and even an actual  meteorite, providing a fascinating insight into the kingdom’s past and present.  The National Museum is on the same grounds as the Murabba Palace.

Hours: Saturday to Wednesday: 9:00 am to 8:00 pm; Thursday and Friday – 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Closed Sundays

Murabba Palace

The Murabba Palace is an essential part of Riyadh’s history, established in 1939 by order of the late King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the founder of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was the King’s He official home, the headquarters of management of state affairs, and a diplomatic meeting place.  It is also an architectural masterpiece with in the Nadj style, made of bricks, indigenous stones, tamarisk trunk and palm-leaf stalks.  Murabba Palace is on the same grounds as the National Museum.

Hours: Sundays to Thursdays – 9:00 to 12:00 and  17:00 to 20:00.  Fridays and Saturdays – 17:00 to 20:00.

Sky Bridge at Kingdom Center Tower

For breathtaking views of the city, head to the Sky Bridge at Kingdom Tower. This observation deck offers panoramic vistas of Riyadh’s skyline.  It is a 65 meter walkway, topping off the 300 meter tower.  More dramatic colors can be seen at dusk/sunset. Ticketed entry. 

Location: King Fahad Road, enter the mall and look for signs for Sky Bridge tickets, near the center.

Boulevard City

Located in Riyadh’s Hittin neighborhood, Boulevard City is 220 acres of dining, shops and entertainment activities.  Some popular attractions include The Square, a replica of New York’s Times Square, the dancing fountain, Avalanche area, and Trocadero, inspired by London’s Coventry Street.  For 2023, Boulevard City is expected to expand considerably.  Ticket entry.
