Stadiums of the Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup 2034

Saudi Arabia has been officially announced as the host of the FIFA 2034 World Cup, set to occur during the cooler months of October through April to avoid the intense summer heat of the region. This marks a milestone in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to become a global sports hub, aligning with its Vision 2030 strategy. The bid received the highest score ever in FIFA’s evaluation process, highlighting the country’s readiness in terms of infrastructure and organization. The tournament will feature the expanded 48-team format, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s ambition to deliver an extraordinary global event​



The World Cup matches will take place across 15 beautifully-designed stadiums in five major locations:

King Salman International Stadium (Riyadh)

A flagship venue, intended to be one of the largest sports arenas in the world, this stadium will host the tournament’s marquee matches, including the final. The contemporary design feature “green” walls and ceilings. 

King Fahad Sports City Stadium (Riyadh)

A long-standing symbol of Saudi football, enhanced to meet FIFA standards for a world-class experience.  The expansion is expected to be completed in 2026, with a capacity of 70,200. 

Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium (Riyadh)

A new addition reflecting cutting-edge design and innovation, showcasing Saudi Arabia’s commitment to football excellence.  Planned for the clifftop of the Tuwaiq Mountains at the massive Qiddiya City outside of Riyadh, the stadium features world’s first fully-combined retractable pitch, roof and LED wall.

Located in the futuristic New Murabba district, this venue is an architectural marvel blending technology and tradition.  The architects designed the exterior with overlapping panels, taking inspiration from the texture of the native Acacia tree. New Murabba Stadium is expected to be completed in 2032.

Encompassing a massive 450,000 square meters, ROSHN Stadium will showcase “crystalline” architecture and is designed to emphasize energy efficiency and sustainability.

A revamped multipurpose complex with state-of-the-art facilities for fans and players alike.  46,000 fans will enjoy the action here.

Al Jawharah Stadium (Jeddah)

Located in the King Abdullah Sports City, a 19-minute drive from Jeddah’s Corniche, the stadium seats 62,000 spectators. 

Qiddiya Coast Stadium (Jeddah)

Jeddah Central Development Stadium (Jeddah)

Part of Jeddah’s ambitious urban renewal project, the stadium represents the city’s vision for the future. Already under construction the JCDS is expected to open in 2027, holding 45,000 sports fans. 

King Abdullah Economic City Stadium (KAEC)

Situated in a key economic hub of Jeddah, this stadium is designed to impress with its high-tech features.  It is planned to hold 45,000 sports fans.

Aramco Stadium (Al Khobar)

A symbol of Saudi innovation, funded by one of the world’s largest companies, and built to showcase hospitality.  The stadium is set to be completed in 2026 and will hold an audience of 47,000 and will be home base for Aramco-owned Al Qadsiah Club.

Located in a picturesque mountainous region, it offers stunning views and high-altitude football.  The existing structure is undergoing a make-over and is expected to seat 45,000 when completed in 2032.

NEOM Stadium (NEOM)

Situated in the futuristic city of NEOM’s The Line, this stadium embodies cutting-edge sustainability and technological advancement, setting a benchmark for future sports venues.  It will be on levels four and five of the metropolitan complex, boasting 45,000 seats, including 1200 skybox seats, 100 VVIP seats, and 800 VIP seats.

Along with the stadium venues, locations are planned for fan zone activities in Al Baha, Jazan, Taif, Almadinah, AlUla, Umluj, Tabuk, Hail, Al Ahsa and Buraidah.
